Weekend Power Pack Food Program. During the weekend, it is easy for children to go hungry. The goal of the Weekend Power Pack Food Program is to provide up to 250 children who attend Mike Davis Elementary School in Golden Gate, and who are identified to be homeless, with a container of nutritious food every Friday so they will have sustenance throughout the weekend. The program provides students with continued nourishment while they are not afforded the access to free meals at school.
