The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) assists lower-income individuals and families with heating costs. This is available through Schuyler County DSS. HEAP grants vary depending on household income, family size, type of heat, the presence of children under 6, adults aged 60 or over and disabled individuals. Both renters and homeowners can be eligible for assistance.
