The Salvation Army is here to help meet all of your basic needs. Whether you need a bag of groceries, a hot meal, or assistance paying an outstanding bill. The Salvation Army in Tyler is the only residential shelter in the area that serves both men, women, and children; we also operate both an emergency shelter and a transitional living shelter and programs. All residents of either program are able to receive hot meals, wash their clothes for safety and health, to sleep soundly in safety, and to receive counseling and spiritual guidance. Emergency Housing is available for those who wish to only stay 1-5 nights in our shelter. Transitional Housing program includes a work component and is for individuals and families that find themselves homeless but are eager to find their way again. Counseling services, transportation, recreational activities, spiritual guidance, hot meals, clean clothes, and more await those who enter into this program.
