The Gillespie Center is an organization that partners with Senior Community Services in providing activities and services for senior and other citizens of the Westonka community. It also conducts many excellent events that the entire community enjoys. The Center is located in a beautiful building sitting adjacent to a wetland overlooking Lake Minnetonka in the city of Mound. The Centers facility was built and is maintained and operated by the generosity of citizens and organizations of the community. The Center was first opened in 2001. The Gillespie Center is continuing to develop an endowment fund. Gifts to this fund may be current, pledged, or planned gifts including: cash real estate stocks memorials trusts insurance benefits. The principal from this Endowment Fund will continue to grow, in perpetuity to help fund the Gillespie Center programs and services for many years to come. The interest, each year, will be used to meet current program and service needs.
