Licking Valley Community Action Program operates Senior Centers in each of the five counties in the service area. These Centers are busy places, as seniors gather for recreation, congregate meals, exercise, and social activities. Senior Citizens (60 and over) can take advantage of transportation services, both locally and out of area for personal business and medical needs. Home Delivered Meals are provided to eligible home bound elderly residents. Information and Assistance aids participants by providing details on services available in the region. Staff help participants understand their rights and responsibilities regarding Medicare and other Health Insurance needs. Seniors who meet income guidelines may also benefit from programs to help with energy bills, food, and medical services. For seniors wanting to stay active and contribute to their communities, one of LVCAPs Senior Centers is the perfect place to volunteer, too. Volunteer drivers, center aides, and guest speakers on topics of interest are always welcome!..
