Services: This office provides emergency home energy assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP), assists low-income families, with at least one person aged 60 and over, when families are experiencing a domestic energy emergency. A domestic power emergency may result from a delinquent utility bill, fuel or wood shortage, or the receipt of a shutdown notice. Payments related to home heating or cooling and other emergency energy costs during the heating (October-March) and cooling (April-September) seasons. Eligible households can be provided with a seasonal benefit, up to $600 per season. Beneficiaries of the program can receive vouchers for blankets, portable heaters, and fans. The program can also help pay for repairs to existing heating or cooling equipment or for reconnection costs. Eligibility: Record heating or cooling emergencies, at least one individual in a family 60 years of age or older, and a total household income equal to or less than 150% of the federal poverty standard. ..
