Organized in 1968 as a private non-profit organization, Sumter Senior Services is designated as the focal point for aging services in Sumter County for programs, services, information, and support for the elderly.
Sumter Senior Services is part of a nationwide network of service providers for seniors who work under the direction of the Bureau of Long Term Care and Senior Services, a division of the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
All services provided by the agency support their mission and service philosophy.
Mission:
To provide opportunities for physical, mental, and emotional well-being that support independence and enrich the quality of life of older people.
They have an obligation to help the older residents who spend their working years building their community and to provide programs and services that help seniors live in a home environment for as long as possible.
Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
