About Snow Shoe Senior Center

The Center County Office of Aging supports six senior centers across Centre County.

Senior centers offer people 60 years or older a place to go for nutritious meals, social and recreational activities, and a range of programs such as health checkouts, health and consumer education, creative arts, exercises, and other special events exclusive to individual centers.

Each center is unique in activities and social interests.

Each center is staffed by a friendly center manager who is responsible for the programs and day-to-day operations of each center.

Seniors centers often work with a variety of local organizations and offer access to other community services as well.

New participants are always invited to participate.

Contributions are to help support the centers, but they are not necessary.

People attending the centers may attend the same classes as often or infrequently as they wish.

There is no minimum attendance requirement for senior citizens' centers.
