About Mt. Shasta Senior Nutrition Project - Mt. Shasta

Hot meals for seniors ages 60+ are served at the City Park Recreation Center. Transportation to and from the lunch site is available, but please call the day before to make pick-up arrangements. Homebound seniors that are 55+ can have meals delivered (Meals-on-Wheels). The Senior Nutrition Project also offers assistance and referrals with issues concerning Medi-Care and Medi-Cal, Social Security, health insurance, long-term health, senior housing, tax preparation and legal matters.

I am inquiring about cremation assistance, is there any programs to help cover the cost in mt. Shasta? My step dad died. Almost a month ago and the family has no funds to cover a cremation, maybe you can point me in the right direction to see if there is any resources available to help w the cost. It would be very apriciated. Thank you for your time.
