The programs provided by the Tolland Senior Center offer a support system for residents 60 and older. Some of the programs include health clinics, which include blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar monitoring, foot care, and annual flu shots. Monthly newsletters are distributed, reaching those homebound as well as those who are not. Numerous and exciting trips are planned by the activities committee. The Annual Dinner/Social is always an exciting event and is usually held in the fall. There are also numerous educational programs sponsored by the Senior Center. Many come to enjoy a game or two of billiards on a weekly basis. Ping pong, cards and dominoes are also weekly events that are offered. Every Monday and Wednesday the Senior Center provides a nutrition program offering delicious lunches for $4.00 per person. This is a well-attended event promoting healthy meals and camaraderie.
