The Melvin Knapp Activity Center is a recreation facility for active adults 50 years of age and older. The center is operated by Pearland Parks & Recreation and offers a variety of programs, activities, trips and classes that are either low-cost or absolutely free. Membership to the center is $25 for Pearland residents and just $50 a year for non-residents. When obtaining a membership, please bring your driver's license or Texas ID card. The facility includes a fitness room complete with treadmills, stationary bikes and a weightlifting machine. The center also features a computer lab and internet access.
