SCOPE stands for Senior Citizens Opportunity for Personal Endeavor. Their main goal and objective is to help seniors (50+) maintain their independence and be part of the community. SCOPE Senior Services operates six senior centers in Champion, Cortland, Howland, Lordstown, Niles and Warren in County Trumbull, serving adults with daily recreational activities, educational events, lunches, socializing and fitness programs. SCOPE also has a Support Services department to support a person with information and referrals, Medicare/Medicaid assistance, prescription assistance, food pantry and grocery delivery to seniors' home. One of their primary outreach volunteer efforts is AARP's free income tax assistance, which serves more than 2,000 clients from February through April each year. ..
