SCOPE stands for "Senior Citizens Opportunity for Personal Endeavor". Their main goal is to help older people (50+) to maintain their independence and be part of the community. SCOPE Senior Services operates six senior centers in Champion, Cortland, Howland, Lordstown, Niles, and Warren in Trumbull County serving adults with daily recreational activities, educational events, lunch, socialization, and fitness programs. SCOPE also has a Support Services division to support the individual with information and referral, Medicare/Medicaid assistance, prescription assistance, food pantries, and grocery deliveries to homebound seniors. One of the major support efforts of the volunteers is the AARP Free Income Tax Assistance, which serves more than 2,000 people each year from February through April. ..
