The Senior Services Division is the primary planning, coordination, and funding of senior programs and services that promote the well-being, health, and independence of the more than 190,000 older adults of Bergen County. Bergen County Senior Services was established in 1966 under federal legislation known as the Older Americans Act. The Division is aimed in particular at the most vulnerable people with the greatest social and economic needs. As the lead agency of the Bergen County CCRA (Aging and Disability Resource Connection), the division assists seniors, persons with disabilities over the age of 18, and their caregivers to access complex long-term care, community, health, and human services.
