Rapid Rehousing program. The Family & Childrens Place program provides 12 months of rental assistance and case management to eligible families. To qualify, families must be homeless, with no stable place to go, that are staying in emergency shelters or on the street. Families seeking the help will need to be assessed by the Louisville Common Assessment team through the Coalition for the Homeless. Common Assessment is not a housing program but may be able to help link families to needed resources. Applicants will complete a 10 to 15 minute survey about their homelessness, health, and other needs, and under the program, participant families must be willing to participate in case management, be motivated to work toward employment and self-sufficiency quickly and have been homeless for less than a year.
