KVSS is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization founded in the early 1970s to provide service programs to individuals in West Virginia's scenic and historic Kanafa Valley. KVSS's mission includes serving people who are both well and fragile. Activities range from assisting seniors in their own homes to their Adult Alzheimer's Day Center to helping seniors with socialization and preventative measures. Their organization offers a growing number of activities for seniors such as nutritional services, shopping, quilting, sewing, painting, poetry, computer classes, Zumba, Tai Chi, health ladder classes, walking clubs, bingo, enrichment, and continuing education classes, gardening, cooking classes. KVSS coordinates and cooperates with federal, state, and county agencies to ensure that medical, educational, recreational, intergenerational, and economic benefits are readily available to seniors. The organization is committed to the mission of creating a wide range of services. Their   success is possible because of donations, donations, grants, and fund-raising events - not to mention wonderful hosts for staff and clients.
