The Benton County Senior Center serves senior citizens age 60 and older. We have an exercise room with five toning machines, exercise bikes, a treadmill, an ab lounger and coming soon a new upper body workout machine. We have a Nintendo Wii that offers a great source of exercises while game playing. We hope to soon add Wii Fit. We have a hand made, solid oak pool table for all the pool sharks out there (age 60 and over). The pool room is open daily from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. We always have tables set up for card games daily. Every third Wednesday is card/game playing day from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. We have many games to choose from but everyone is encouraged to bring their own games as well. Weekly events include: Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. we have a live band (our seniors) playing and singing classic country music while others sit around and play dominos and cards. Everyone brings a snack food to share. Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. we have gospel singing. Any one who wants to lead a song may or just sing along congregational style. At 11:30 everyone comes into the dining room to enjoy a delicious pot luck lunch. We have the greatest cooks in Benton County bringing wonderful dishes each week! AARP meets here every third Wednesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. We have a salad or soup supper (depending on the season) every fifth Tuesday night at 5 p.m. followed by the usual singing and game playing. Events will be posted on this site for everyone to be able to see what is going on...
