The Underwood Senior Citizen's Club was organized in May 1974 and is currently housed in the former Underwood City Office building on Lincoln Avenue. Programs include Meals-on-Wheels, which serves meals to the elderly and disabled in McLean and Mercer Counties, and bus service for the elderly through the West River Transportation Council. The bus service is used for the Meals-on-Wheels program as well as for local trips and day-trips to Bismarck for medical and other appointments. The center is open six days a week until 4:00 pm. Seniors enjoy visiting, playing cards, pool, puzzles, piano, and organ music. Scheduled monthly events include a card party on the first Saturday and a birthday party the second Saturday of the month.
