The Senior Citizen's Center Program shines as the most visible program offered by the Central Missouri Area Agency on Aging (CMAAA). CMAAA currently sponsors 31 senior citizens' centers in the entire service area of its 19 districts. In many cases, a center for the elderly becomes a focus for community participation and offers many services, including a variety of recreational and social activities; Health education and screening programs; Exercise course; Information and assistance services; Lots of volunteer opportunities for people of all ages. All advanced centers have a low vision resource center for visually impaired people who need help with reading or manual work. Missouri Rehabilitation Services for the Blind provides free low vision aids for use at the center and also offers short-term loans. People love good food and enjoy getting together for a meal. Therefore, it is natural that the most popular feature of a senior center is its Congregated Dining Program. ..
