Established in 1997 - formerly part of TRIO Council on Aging since 1974. OCOA's mission is to promote the health, well-being, and independence of older adults in Ogemaw County. OCOA is funded through federal and state grant dollars, donations, and a county wide millage. OCOA employs more than 25 fantastic, caring people! (And no bad ones!). My Place serves 45-80 meals on a normal day, and about 600 different individuals ate here last year. On average, about 280 individuals or families use OCOA In Home Service Programs at any given time. OCOA's My Place, The Cottage, and Administration Offices are located 2 miles south of the center of Ogemaw County. This location was selected to make services as equally available as possible.
