(length based on need) Permanent housing program for victims of domestic violence who are disabled and homeless. (15 individuals per year) Permanent housing program for veterans who are convicted felons being released from Kentucky prison system. Assist with first month's rent and offers case management.

Single Mother Single Parent Housing. One Parent Scholar House has 80 two-bedroom and eight three-bedroom unfurnished apartments spread among ten buildings. These apartments come under the Section 8 rent subsidy program. These apartments are only for residents participating in the program and their child/children. No other people are allowed to live in the apartments. In addition, housing is for residents only as long as they are active participants in the program. Once residents have graduated, they must move to other housing. Qualifications: You must be a full-time student or have been admitted for full-time enrollment in a post-secondary educational program that requires a minimum of one year to complete. - You must be at least 18 years old. - You must be a single parent with primary custody of your child/children. - You must have at least one child who will attend One Parent Scholar House Child Development Program. - You must be eligible for Section 8 rent subsidized housing. - If applicable, you must provide divorce documentation (decree) to One Parent Scholar House.

Offers emergency financial assistance to individuals who are diagnosed with a serious mental illness through our Homeless Outreach Program. Also provides crisis intervention, 24-hour supervision, meals and snacks, transportation, educational and recreational activities, tutoring and emergency clothing. The facility serves up to 16 children. The maximum stay is 30 days. Referrals for placements accepted from Police, Juvenile Court, and Div. of Social Services. Police may bring a youth to the shelter for placement under protective custody. Other sources of referral require appropriate custody documents. Emergency referrals are received 24 hours a day.

Arbor Youth Services provides safe alternatives for at-risk children, youth and their families through services and referrals that promote positive growth and development. AYS serves youth ages 6 weeks to 24 years old through the Emergency Shelter, and the Street Outreach Program. Other services include basic need services, case management, crisis intervention, life skills, transportation, and the Safe Place Program.
