CRIS Healthy-Aging Center, with roots dating back more than 45 years, is a private, non-profit, tax-free organization governed by a community board of directors. The main sources of funding are the East Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging, United Way of Danville and private contributions. In 1971, under the direction of the United Advocates, the various services provided to senior citizens in Danville, Illinois were consolidated under the leadership and board of directors of the CRIS Center for Healthy Aging. Since then, the organization has offered excellent all-round assistance, care and outreach.
