The Nevada Senior Community Center (NSCC) is committed to enhancing the recreational, educational and healthy opportunities to the diverse group of aging adults in the Nevada area. This commitment promotes an independent and active lifestyle while enriching, celebrating and honoring life. The NSCC is organized to engage in activities supporting older adults, and no part of its net earnings will benefit any director or individual. The Senior Center is available to be used by Nevada Seniors each weekday from 9-4. The NSCC volunteers have organized activities such as: mens and womens coffee times, Bingo, card tournaments, a monthly noon potluck with a short program, and occasional day trips around Iowa. Ames based Heartland Senior Services provide congregate meals, at noon, Tues. through Friday.
