Senior Life Services of Morgan County is a private, nonprofit, 501 (3) C Corporation. They have evolved over the past 30 years in their operations to be able to respond more effectively to the demands of their community. There are about 6,500 people over the age of 65 in their county. Five hundred are veterans. Nearly 20 percent live at or below the federal poverty level. More than 260 of their elderly people are diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia, making it even more difficult for us to provide timely and effective support. Their mission is a serious and important one for their community. In order to provide the necessary support services to preserve and honor the desires of their elders to live at home, they have ongoing needs of volunteers and financial donations. Help in shaping their services through active participation in the Senior Advisory Committee is essential and they are looking for more members. ..
