The Houston County Senior Citizens Center is located near the Davy Crockett Memorial Park at 716 Wells Street. The center offers a warm and welcoming place to come visit with seniors, eat lunch, and participate in other activities. Lunch is served Monday through Thursday beginning around 11:15 AM. The cost is $4 for those 60 years and older, or $7 for those under 60. The meal menu is announced every morning on radio station KIVY (1290AM/92.7FM). The menu can also be found in the Houston County Courier and the Grapeland Messenger newspapers. The Senior Citizens Center is open Monday thru Friday from 8 AM through 4:30 PM. The Houston County Senior Citizens Center welcomes all seniors to come out and visit, grab lunch, or just come by to cool off in the summer or warm up in the winter...
