The Milan - Gibson County Senior Citizens Association, Inc. was established in April of 1975. July 1, 1980, the City of Milan resolved to house the Senior Citizens Center in a portion of the Municipal Building. December 14, 1999 the Mayor and Aldermen agreed to Resolution 99-3 making the Senior Citizens Center a Municipality of the City of Milan. February 2009 the name was changed from Milan - Gibson County Senior Citizens Center to City of Milan Senior Citizens Center, Inc. The City of Milan Senior Citizens Center is a place where Senior Citizens can come for services such as recreation, physical fitness, educational programs, commodities, and health screenings. We offer home delivered meals to the homebound and sell ensure plus at a lower price than retail stores. We also do telephone reassurance and visits. Our mission is to be responsive to the needs of the elderly by providing supportive services and to outreach low-income minorities to ensure that all persons 60 years of age or older are aware of our services that could help enhance and improve their quality of life.
