Generations of Indian Valley was founded in 1967 as a senior adult activity center in the Indian Valley by 50 charter members. In 1989, the company moved to its current location on 2nd Street in Souderton, PA. In 2008, they changed their name to Generations of Indian Valley, specifically to represent the community members they serve. Today, Generations has become known throughout the India Valley and beyond as a place of welcome and friendship for more than 4,000 active adults. Through their programs in health, wellness, social services, recreation, education, travel, nutrition, and more, they have earned a reputation as a true community of people committed to learning, growth, and mutual support. Generation is a meeting where the needs and joys of the community can be shared. Since its inception, their nutrition program (including "Noon Meal and Meals on Wheels") has grown to 8,000 nutritious meals a month for low-income seniors in the North Penn and Indian Valley. In 2014, more than 21,000 volunteer hours were registered to support their general Center and Meals on Wheels programming. Generations of Indian valley has a rich history of gatherings, support, and friendship in their community.
