Holiday Park is Montgomery County's largest senior center serving approximately 500-600 adults each day over the age of 55. The center is centrally located near the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Connecticut Avenue in Wheaton. At Holiday Park we offer a variety of social and enrichment programs, including literature and writing classes, discussion groups, card and board games, and special interest seminars and trainings. Those interested in keeping up with today's technology can visit the computer lab that offers on-going training. On the health front, many fitness classes are offered in our exercise room. Most exercise classes, including aerobics, bone building, and yoga require pre-registration, but repeat on a 6-10 week cycle so that newcomers can quickly join our programs. Many people utilize the health clinic where our HeartWell registered nurse from Suburban Hospital is on duty Wednesdays from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and volunteers are available Mondays 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. to take your blood pressure and discuss health concerns.
