Banta is an enrichment center where adults aged 50 and over can participate in a variety of activities and make friends! The center offers several programs, including four different card games, dominoes, chess, backgammon, knitting, crochet, exercise classes, and retirement support groups. Banta is the Northwest Indiana Community Action Nutrition Center where hot, nutritious lunches are served from Monday to Friday at 11:15 a.m. Lunch is free for those over 60, but a voluntary donation of $1.50 is suggested. Lunch reservations must be made at least two working days in advance by calling 219-462-1301. Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. ..
