Lafayette - Walker County Senior Life Services Center

636 S. Main Street
LaFayette, GA - 30728
(706)638-2163
Our goal is to provide helpful senior services to those 60 and older in our local community. We are part of the North Georgia Community Action, Senior Life Services Department and under the direction of the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Georgia located in Rome. The Senior Center here at Lafayette is here to support the daily nutritional needs, health education, and general wellness needs of our local senior population. Our goal is to be a senior resource center that facilitates quality programs that improve seniors lives. The LaFayette Senior Center provides both Congregate meals and Meals On Wheels for the home-bound in our community, and there are no income qualifications for these services. Some of our activities that occur throughout the year include special guest singers, group singing, bingo and various exercise activities. The center also offers card playing, a puzzle room, tread mills, billiard tables and a fantastic sewing room on a daily basis. Our schedule often includes health and safety classes through a variety of speakers from other agencies or businesses in the community. Field trips to restaurants and other sites of interest also take place at various times during the year. We believe that youll agree that its a fun place to be, and we sincerely hope you will consider stopping by and joining us in the near future. Volunteers are always welcome, and we are especially grateful to those who help deliver Meals on Wheels...
